Sadly Cindy's nephew, Joshua Harrison, went home to be with his Lord early in the morning on September 30th. Joshua was strong in his faith and love for God and he showed it everyday in his life. Please keep Joshua's family, father Phillip, mother Lee, and brother Caleb as well as the extended family in your prayers as they struggle through this difficult time. The plans for a benefit concert are on hold right now as the myriad of decisions that have to be made at time like this are made. Should the decision for a benefit concert be made, we will inform you of that information through our usual concert promotion means.

Please lift up Joshua Harrison in your daily prayers. Joshua is the nephew of Cindy, my wife, and he has been in the Intensive Care Unit at the Medical Center of Central Georgia for the last week. He is only 26 years old and is battling a major case of pnuemonia as well as possibly some viral infection. He has shown some improvement since being admitted to the hospital as when he was admitted his liver and kidneys were in failure and their functions have recovered. He is still not breathing without assistance. Pray that God's healing hand will work to allow Joshua to begin breathing on his own ultimately leading to a full recovery. Kindred is planning a benefit concert for Joshua where 100% of the proceeds will be used toward his medical bills. The concert most likely will be October 24, 2009. Keep checking the web site for more information on Joshua's condition and to learn how you can attend the concert to help out this youg man.

This morning we received the following email message from Don Capes the promoter for the Eatonton Arts Center Plaza concert scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2009:
Mrs Diane Tench of The Lord's Messengers is having surgery to remove cancer from her leg the morning of Thursday, September 17th. I have no choice but to postpone the concert to a later date. Please keep Diane and her family in your prayers
We ask that you do keep Diane and her family in your prayers asking for healing, for comfort and for God's magnificent power to be shown in this situation. We hope that Diane's healing is quick and complete and that the joint concert between Kindred and The Lord's Messengers will be able to be rescheduled soon as a praise concert for Diane's healing.

Through the marvels of modern technolgy, I am updating the web site while we are in the studio working on our second recording project. I have just finished recording the lead tracks for Who Am I and Chris and Jesse are working on their accompaniment parts now. Chris wanted to make sure I let you know she was still alive and well after completing all the tracks for one of her solo songs yesterday.
We will be in the studio the remainder of the day today and most of the day tomorrow. After that we will head back to Milledgeville on Thursday night. Please continue to pray for us in general and specifically as we travel back home tomorrow night.

We have had a busy spring singing for folks at Homecomings, church suppers, and other concert venues. We are so appreciative of everyone's support for our ministry by attending our concerts and by purchasing our first recording project.
Speaking of recording projects, we have purposely kept our June concert schedule light so that we can select and work on the music for our second recording project which we will be working on in the studio June 30 through July 2 of this year. Like our first project, the new one will be recorded in the studio of and produced by Donnie Sumner. We have been blessed by Donnie taking us "under his wing" by offering us support, direction, and even correction, when we need it. For his support we will be eternally grateful.
God continues to bless Kindred in many ways, and we continue to seek His guidance for us.

Welcome to the launch of our new web site!!
God has truly blessed Kindred in the two years we have been singing together as a trio. We have been given the opportunity to minister, through southern gospel music, in many places and to many people. For that reason and because many of you have suggested it, we decided to launch this site so that you could keep up with the happenings of Kindred. There are areas that are still under construction and the site will be changing constantly, so we hope you will come back to it often to see what's new and to see when we will be singing in an area near you, so that you can plan to come enjoy a time of fun and worship with the group.
So many of you have become close friends and strong supporters of the group and we thank you for that friendship and support. We would be remiss not to thank the collective group of our home church, Pathfinders Christian Church in Milledgeville, Georgia. Kindred and Pathfinders both came into being about the same time two years ago and both groups have been blessed beyond measure. When Kindred had its inaugural concert at Moselyville Baptist Church on that cold night in January, 2007, many of the folks there were those who ultimately became the Charter Members of Pathfinders Christian Church. The members of Kindred are proud to be a part of that charter membership.
Other than our home church, we are hesitant to name other names and churches for fear that we would leave someone out. Just know that all of you who have let us sing in your church or meeting or have been in the crowd for a Kindred concert, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and thank God for bringing you into the life of Kindred and our individual lives as well. We hope you have been blessed by Kindred as Kindred has been blessed by you.
So, enjoy the web site. Come back often to see the updates and changes. And, continue to come worship with us and pray for us.
Chris, Jesse, and Hank
